Backroad Racing

Backroad Racing  is a low-poly arcade racer that runs right in your browser. Pick a car, pick a time of day, and sling it around winding backroads while the sky does its best synthwave impression.

This is a fun little prototype, not a serious game. It's rough around the edges and it's here to be enjoyed, poked at and maybe laughed at a bit.

What's in it

- Quick Race, Free Drive and a set of Events with medals to earn
- Several tracks: meadow, mountain pass, desert, coastal highway and autumn forest
- Day, sunset and night, each with its own neon-tinted sky
- A garage of cars from classic muscle to hypercars, with paint and livery options
- Drift mini-turbos, boost boxes on the road, takedowns and Road Rage mode
- Easy / Medium / Hard difficulty
- Keyboard, gamepad and touch controls

### Controls
- **Arrow keys / WASD** – drive
- **Enter** – select in menus
- **M** – mute music
- Gamepad supported

### Notes
Expect bugs and unfinished edges. If something breaks, a refresh usually fixes it. Feedback is very welcome in the comments.
